Thanks Carol.

Hope the Canucks bring the wheels tonight, going to need them to keep up with the lightning. Take away time and space from them and it should be a good match up.

More
Bieksa: Nickname 'Juice' came from Auldy. When I came to Winnipeg after final college season, I was 185 lbs. Next year I came in at 205 just jacked. Obviously Alex was saying "juice juice, you're on the juice you put 20lbs on"

I said "its called hard work Alex you should try it"

Edler may be a whipping boy around here but he's the type of asset that typically fetches a fairly big price at the TDL. He's a top 4 pairing guy who is big but still pretty mobile, used to playing against opponent's top lines, can play physical, blocks shots, has some offensive upside and plenty of playoff experience, including a cup run. Those attributes are usually worth a first round pick +.

Based on Carol's notes regarding pending payroll increases for Tampa, you'd have to assume they need to be all in for a cup run this year and, looking at their D corps, they could use a guy like Edler for depth and insurance.

If Edler's willing to waive and go there for the balance of the year at the trade deadline, what's he worth to them?

Looking forward to being able to see Pettersson play against the Lightning tonight. That kid from the highlights I have seen looks like a real good one.

I wonder who they will try to match him up against with last shift but what makes the Lightning so hard to play is they roll 4 lines with every line getting around 12 minutes or more a game so its hard to scheme against the Bolts.

As for the Bolts if their fore-check and puck retrieval game is going you will marvel at how long they can sustain pressure in the O-zone and still get line shifts during it. Very fun team to watch so much speed and skill. Bolts fans are lucky to get to watch them play this season. Very underrated player to watch is Anthony Cirelli for the Bolts.

Looking forward to watching tonight even though it won't be over till 1am and I have to be up for work at 5:30am...

I would love Edler to replace Girardi in the top 4 of the Bolts D to make a run this year at the cup. The local radio here said Tampa tried last year to get Edler but he wouldn't budge on his NTC so the Lightning have interest in him. I guess it would all come down to the price Vancouver would want for him. I see him as a 3 month rental then he signs back with Vancouver after the season.

The Lightning really need a RD top 4 Dman. How has Tanev been this year? Is he on the trade block?

Most of us aren't under any false illusions. Tampa's a well built team which should easily dismantle our crappy defence.

The Bolts have a kid named Erik Cernak he will be playing tonight as they are healthy scratching Brayden Coburn, Cernak is better then Girardi but the coaches continue to play Girardi for some reason. I don't get it at all as he just not good and Hedman has to hold that tandem together.

All kidding aside Edler or Tanev would be a great fit on a team making a cup run.

I made that comment, because he is trying to get healthy from some pretty serious health/concussion issues.
The persons health is a little more important than a hockey game or career...but thanks for showing up.
